I Have never been there, but there is a club with male strippers called Puchos Bar. I have no idea how good it is or if it is in a safe part of San Jose. If you go, please let me know what you think

Good Luck
Steve

Do NOT try walking to any Gay bar in San Jose. Take a taxi. All are in unsafe areas. Lots of muggings.

PUCHOS

Thanks for letting me know. Much of San Jose is run down and finding any address is difficult because so many of the street signs are missing. I drove into San Jose early one Sunday morning and I decided against any other trip there. I did manage to find PUCHOS Bar. It's in a very dilapiadated area and I didn't want to risk causing problems for myself. Besides, I have been so busy working here, and had little free time.

COsta Rica really is a wonderful country and the TICOS are extremely warm and hospitable people.

PEACE - ZEE

Talking Let us know . . .

Zee, please let us know about your adventures in Costa Rica...I'd love to know more.

I understand that Manuel Antonio is very gay.

There is a good list in the FILES section of http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Mexico-Gay/

But please post your information here too for us all to see.

San Jose

Anyone going to San Jose should check out Deja Vu disco. Its a nice place with great looking guys. I've never had a problem in this general part of town but I don't walk around there at night. Take a taxi or if you drive park in a lot across the street and you're fine. Also, from dusk to about 9:00 pm good cruising in the plaza next to the National Theater - especially in front of the McDonald's. Great eye candy hangs out and parades by.

Wink on the subject of cruising...

I was just wondering what the cruising "scene" is like...how does it work there? In Mexico, eye-contact is the main method...a smile, a scratch, a wink. Is it the same in Costa Rica? How about where to do the deed? Are there clean and safe motels, bath houses, etc nearby?
