What will be our memory from these last weeks under Bush? Will it be the image of Barbra Streisand, all dressed up to receive her Kennedy award at a ceremony, being approached by her supposed enemy, the President, and the two of them being all respectful and proper, exchanging a kiss? Or will it be the image of the Baghdad-based journalist hurling his shoes at Bush and shouting at him, “This is a gift from the Iraqis; this is the farewell kiss, you dog!” Perhaps maybe we'll remember the noises coming from the side room where this journalist, Muntader al-Zaidi, can be heard crying in agony from the pummeling he has just taken from our security team?
