Water Works Park

Anyone ever cruise Water Works Park in Des Moines? What are the other cruising parks in Des Moines?

I've cruised there on occasion, but without much success. I have gone to the back loop near the railroad tracks and jerked off by the car -- on one occasion for a train crew as they slowly passed by on a freight engine pulling a couple of cars. Would love to see more action there.

Other parks -- down by the Des Moines River, north of the University bridge, can be pretty cruisy, but cops patrol it, and they've cleared out a lot and limited the street parking around the power substation/back entrance.

Other parks

Birdland Park by the Marina has some action when the toilet is open...but patrolled. The other part of Birdland Park (park at the end of the parking lot and head back in onto the trails (West).

Margo Frankle Park has plenty of potential....but haven't seen much action.

Fort Des Moines park has action down by the pine trees...lots of wooded places to play.

Easter Lake Park has a couple of restrooms that can be fun. And LOTS of woods to play in.

West River Drive is busy at night. Not too many folks getting out of their cars to play. Maybe later when the weather is nice and more coverage. But yes, the city has screwed up that cruising area. Talk has been that they are going to make it a city park and then they can limit the parking there. You also have to watch out for CRAZY Postal workers who zoom by and would just as soon run you over! Plus a large hangout for homeless, crack heads, and hustlers.
