Setting up a hookup, which would happen on state land, and am getting paranoid about how it is progressing. If I ask if he is a cop, does he have to tell me? Thanks.

You still think the other guy was just caught up in the sweep and might fall for the same trap twice. I have heard from some who did try to rehook up with the same guy and got busted again. Plus the dangers of meeting a stranger hidding in the bushes should also make you stop and think.
