Hey guys,

I operate a gloryhole in my apartment (I guess that part is obvious by my username. I haven't hooked up since the beginning of this fucking pandemic and I was curious if it would be relatively safe for me to resume?

I only give head - nothing else.

My setup is solid wood, I have lysol cleaner to spray the wood board down (both sides) and wipe it clean after each use, etc.

Curious what you guys think? I haven't seen many articles about this so I thought i would ask here. I'm going fucking crazy for some dick and not sure I can hang on much longer.

Assuming your wood is unfinished, like plywood, Lysol is still probably OK. Here in SE Texas I've cleaned unfinished wood after floods and hurricanes using bleach. However, that would probably leave a lingering unappealing smell unless you used scented bleach instead of plain bleach.

As for the risk of direct contact with the other guy's dick, it's up to you to evaluate your risks and benefits. You don't want to get the virus, and you don't want to unknowingly transmit it to him.

For you, if your state or locality offers testing for people without symptoms (mine does, locally) it's worth it to get tested. Remember that even if you test negative today it does not mean you might not test positive tomorrow or next week. Nonetheless, it gives you some knowledge, and with adequate precautions you should be safe.

For the other guy you might consider washing his dick before sucking on it. Sounds a little weird, I know, but it's similar to the recommendation to wash our hands. Soap and water is a good cleaner, and it sure tastes better than hand sanitizer.

Again, you have to decide how much risk you can tolerate, remembering that it affects you, the other guy, and potentially any other people you both come in contact with. Approach it responsibly but don't be blinded either by fear nor by desire.

I have a different view.

IF the other guy has the virus at all, for sure he has it on his dick. Because he will have it on his hands. He'd need to disinfect his hands, dick & entire crotch, right at your gloryhole, for you to be "safe." And wear a mask (to avoid him spreading his breath / droplets).

EXCEPT it turns out that the virus for most people under 60 is not all that big of a deal. Confirmed by the last 8 days of protests where even the authorities have largely forgotten to scold people in regard to the virus.

Now that we have a lot more data, the true death rate is below 0.5%, probably around 0.1% - similar to a nasty chest cold.

If you are over 60, or lung-compromised, or immune-compromised, then by all means, continue to avoid the virus!

But the rest of us may view getting this virus ALMOST like a positive event; now we will have at least a year of immunity (probably more) and will contribute to society's overall "herd immunity" thus actually HELPING TO PROTECT the old & vulnerable. (Once you're "over it" and immune, you're untransmittable. That is very like a cold or flu. And the opposite of HIV, which stays active and, sadly, needs daily meds to suppress & become untransmittable.)

In view of all that: If there were a legal, feasible way for me to "volunteer" to get this virus - or to join a vaccine trial, for that matter - at this point, I personally would.

It should go without saying that every person's situation is different, decide for yourself - and speak for yourself.

Your own circumstances will determine whether you should keep your gh completely shut down - or the opposite, of your going ahead and not even worrying about the virus.

Similar deal for your Man who's getting blown: He has to consider His own circumstances, and then either stay away from hookups & gloryholes altogether - or else loosen up, stop all the worry & half-assed "protections" that He might not even need. It's up to Him.

Again, society as a whole - even the vulnerable among us - would be better off if healthy people (those of us under 60 & no pre-existing conditions) had already become immune to the virus, by having had it already.

And they say a vast majority of us will get the virus and be asymptomatic - not even realizing we have it.

Many of us may already have been exposed and now be carrying the anti-bodies.

Here's a suggestion from the New York City Health Department. Among other things, they say, "Make it a little kinky. Be creative with sexual positions and physical barriers, like walls, thatallow sexual contact while preventing close face to face contact."

METRO UK reports this as NYC tells people to have sex through glory holes to avoid coronavirus.

The NYC Health Department also tells us, "A positive antibody test for the virus that causes COVID-19 may indicate prior exposure, but it does not mean you are immune from reinfection. A prior positive diagnostic test (nose swab or saliva) means you have had COVID-19 and may be less likely to be re-infected. We don’t know how strong that protection is or for how long it lasts. Be cautious in using these tests to make decisions about who you have sex with and what kind of sex you have since antibody test results are not definite proof of immunity"

Of course, it's up to each person to decide what to do.
