90 % of the "so-called" PROFILES are blank. people have had plenty of time to up-date them. PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO POST A THREAD OR A REPLY UNTIL THEY HAVE UP-DATED THEIR PROFILE....just my opinion...its just really bothersome to go into a profile and most of them are blank....

While CFS didn't do the best job with re to informing members that their profile formats were changing, i don't think they're to blame.

Its the culture, more than the context.

I had AOL from 94-02 and used to cruise their chat rooms from time to time before it became escort central. It was the same situation there, whereby the majority of guys IMing you had no profiles, or pictures, or didn't want to talk specific details.

Its not difficult to acquire or do these things, yet that is always the response given by those types.

What's the answer?

Don't be as sensitive and set your own rules.

Ex: When i make a post to play, i reiterate that if you don't have a pic/profile and are just looking to jack off to my emails don't bother.

It doesn't weed out all of them, but the responses to my posts have decreased dramatically since i began doing this. While the quality of what i'm looking for has grown.

I'm a bottom sexually, but i liken these meeting spots to having their own tops/bottoms. The tops give their info/pics, while the jackoffs receive them.

Just a point of clarification: no profile data would have been lost in this switchover unless we eliminated the specific data field and replaced it with something else. Most of your profile data was preserved and is intact.

By the way, my own personal experience is that more and more guys ARE updating their profiles. Over time, this will correct itself.

if CFS has saved the "old" data, then y dont they (CFS) fill in what was in the old profiles in the new profiles and also ask (which doesnt seem 2 work 2 well) members 2 up-date also. just a suggestion. there seems 2 be a BIG DROP-OFF in both new threads and replies....

When i realized you'd switched profile formats and went about filling in my own profile's blanks i don't recall anything having carried over.

Also, i just did a search using only my area code (508) and the designation of "TOP." This is a pretty basic search and should yield a ton of profiles when compared to sites like bareback.com etc...

However it only yielded one. Southeastern MA in reality, probably has more tops than SD/ND/IA combined.

You, and whoever else runs this site need to figure out how to get all these lurkers and lazy posters to update their profiles and soon. Otherwise those of us who are here for the purposes for which you intended the site will leaveas a result.

Use other sites like bareback.com as examples. What are they doing to get all these guys(including myself) to post their pics and descriptions?

If you're wondering why there aren't as many people who feel the same way as those in this thread do. Its because that's how much of a decline this site has seen in guys who are sincere and active.

The majority, who just screen others' posts, don't have profiles, and look for quick jackoff material aren't concerned because their usage of the site is satisfied.
