Jakarta

Finding it very difficult to get info on cruising in Jakarta ... I imagine the Thailand cruisers would probably have visited?

I found one sauna M9 ... but it seems to be more like a massage place than a conventional cruising sauna.

Anyone can advise on cruising in Jakarta. I will also go to Bogor and stay at Salak ... only accommodation on Utopia. Apart from cruising through Gay Romeo what are my options?

I've been living in Jakarta for the past 7 years, so let me see if i can give you some advice:

9M - there are 2 options here - the massage side and a conventional cruising sauna part - you just say when you enter which one you want. I haven't been there for a couple of years but the sauna part used to be pretty busy especially in the afternoons at the weekend.

Clubs: there are a couple of gay clubs: Apollo in the Bellagio building in Mega Kuningan which is quite upmarket and VERY busy at the weekends and Moonlight in Kota (it's near hotel Mercure) which is very downmarket, dark, hot and packed, with a 'naughty corner' area behind the DJ. Be careful in this place as there are many money boys and I'd advise you not to venture into naughty corner with your wallet/phone in your pocket.

Gay Romeo/Manjam are very easy ways to hook up in Jakarta - tons of non-commercial Indonesian guys looking for hook-ups, and Westerners ('bule') are pretty much in demand.

Although Jakarta is not as full-on as say Bangkok and gay life tends to be more hidden from view, there are many, many gay guys in the city and it's very easy to meet them. Lots of friendly and cute guys here.

Hope this helps a bit.

The hot disco when I was last there was Tanamor...but I may be dating myself.

Dating yourself indeed - Tanamor closed about 5 or 6 years ago!

I

Yes I have-6-7 times, but mostly quite long ago by now. Your assumption is wrong, If BKK/Thai goers tend to go Indo at all, they go Bali. In fact I kinda like Indo-more as Thaild, as interaction is more occasional/natural and the language barrier much less as Thaild (but then i have learnt also the local lingo).
As a big city JKT is hell, much more 3d world as BKK is. if you want a nicer surrounding and more local contact, go to any other big city anywhere in Indo Forget all about that utopia-stuff, it is dated from a century ago. Dont worry or go searching www too much they will find you, any lone farang is considered prime game-by ladies too. But gayromeo or gaydar may be good for a few initial contacts to start with-when the ball gets rolling, it grows by the day. Expect to have to throw off the throng of MBs in that big city.
For casual cruising: any AC shopping mall for local lads. ANY disco or dancing will have some gay corner-of sorts.

Many thanks Louis. I'll be staying on Jl Thamrin/Wahid Hasyim area ... any cruising spots near there? I'll report back on 9M and the "naughty corner" I'll keep my cash in my shoes.

-- From search-engine Google the flg. two web-sites might be helpful -

1.- > Jakarta - All On Jakarta Complied - Massage & Sauna - Blowing Wind Gay Forum Home <
- Most recent entry was for 16 jul 2011..
2.- > http://www.utopia-asia.com/jakamasa.htm <

-- I've looked-at them both briefly - might be of use, even though second-hand info..

Cruising spots oround Thamin/Wahid Hasyim?

Sarinah Mall is very cruisy both inside and outside but it's mainly commercial guys - if you are a single Westerner you can expect a lot of "hello Mister" and hopeful smiles anywhere around Sarinah. Quite busy late at night.

Other cruisy places would be the more upmarket malls nearby especially Plaza Indonesia (lots of gym bunnies going to Celebrity Fitness - another VERY cruisy place with action in the sauna) and Grand Indonesia which is Jakarta's most exclusive mall.

I wouldn't bother with the sauna/gym at Millennium Hotel - last time I went there (a few years ago) it was mainly out-of-shape, middle-aged Chinese Indonesian guys and the staff made sure that nothing went on - there were signs up! Groups organising gay sex parties often use rooms at this hotel - it has a bit of a reputation.

On Singapore Gay Romeo commercial masseurs Page 1 they often display attractive Indonesian masseurs.Has anyone used these services in Sg or indeed Jakarta (i hear there they are on a par with Bkk).Any personal experience ? I am particularly interested in Indons in Sg massage.

Quite a few Indonesian masseurs stay at Queen's Bridge Residence on New Bridge Rd, Singapore. It's a suana with hostel type rooms on the upper floors (electronic security). Small rooms, bathroom down the hall and expensive for such basic accommodation. But free wifi and free access to the sauna, which has never disappointed. Go for one of the more expensive rooms (King or Queen rooms).

The cheap rooms are just basically cubicles with a bed. They are on the lower floors and that's where the Indo boys rent. They attract their customers into the sauna via Gay Romeo, so generate business for the owner and some stay several months. They offer massage in their room or yours at very variable prices ranging from 50 to 120 Sing dollars. Good looking guys, usually, athletic physiques but most are top. If you want to worship good looks and excellent physique ... go for it. But anything else is very much hit or miss.

Queen's Residence is great for a stop-over passing through Singapore. Action in the sauna has always satisfied, and the option to take the chosen one up to a private room make the place worth the money.

BTW just visited 9M Sauna Jl Talang Betutu in Jakarta ... thoroughly recommended !! Mostly older guys, but the sprinkling of younger guys, crazy about foreigners ... was more than enough to satisfy. Being 50+ and out of shape, it's been a while since I was such a centre of attraction and a 1/4 cialis enabled 3 excellent performances, 2 with the other local guys watching with envy in the group rooms. The only really gay sauna in town, it concentrate the opportunities .... I'm going back tonight :)

fizzcock 16th September 2011 05:18 AM

In Jakarta ... The McCafe in Sarinah Dept. Store and the Olala cafe directly opposite ... bother very cruisy, even on a weekday morning!!

fizzcock 16th September 2011 08:47 AM

Just got back from 9M Friday naked night ... wow ... undbelievable. First thing here is that the guys walk around with erections on full view, not much shyness or cupping of hands. The orgy rooms were packed and heaving full blast. Like drowning in a sea of testosterone. I guess because everything is so suppressed in this Islamic nation, and with 9M the only show in town ... this massive Friday night sexual explosion is inevitable. It makes the orchestrated "orgy" nights at Torpedoi or Deja Vue seem like a teddy bears' picknick. Only annoying thing was hands in the dark tugging to relieve me of protection (condoms are provided in lockers) so risk is there, just keep one hand on the condom ring and make sure it stays on.

I thought I had seen everything ... but tonight was a revelation.

Are you sure you have the name of Queen's Bridge Residence correct? I googled it and didn't get a single hit.
