I highly agree with Sextile and Biggles...when in BKK in May I went to Classic B., just for the "sake of old times", which is (in)famous for its twinks. About 12 boys doing the usual 2 f. shuffle, none caught my eye. Ridiculously overpriced drink...350B for a tonic water. There was only 1 customer...except me..who talked to a boy and I heard "3000 B for LT". Had a quick look at ZEUS gogo and it was even worse. Finally found a companion at GC, there were 2 other boys I would have offed if there had not been my Lao boy. Drinks 140B

I was in Bangkok last week and went to Soi Twilight bars. Very disappointing compared to previous visits. Didn't wait for floor shows except at Dream Boys which had no nudity making their terrible show even worse and at 400 baht for a drink, it is to be avoided. Lots of boys, but essentially the same lot that have been there for years. The place would be out of business if it was not for the Chinese tourists many of whom sit their with mouths agape. Easily pleased. Actually, some of the audience were very cute.

surely that is the whole point - that is their target audience, that is their justification for drink prices etc!

Forgot about this thread till tonight, unfortunately!

Was brought to Dream Boys last night, it was just as described above: Poorly done shows, super expensive (400 Baht cover including one drink, then 350 Baht per drink after that). Some pressure to bring a boy over but not too bad.
Boys were cute--at least there were several muscular/in shape/not skinny guys--but I was only there to look.
I will be sure to try and bring my friends to Golden Cock and/or Screw Boy tomorrow night!

One of my regulars, who works at Screw Boy, told me that they now have "more" boys working there, about 20, more than they did during the curfew period after the coup (when it dropped to less than 10). He says that they are also having periodic sex shows, but that seems to happen only when the police and/or military is not bothering them. Haven't been to that bar myself in several months, but the last time I was there drinks were about 250 baht and the selection of boys was impressive. But that seems to change fairly often, so who knows what it's like on any given day of the week.

I was there last week. About 15 boys - twinky and nothing to tickle my fancy on this occassion. Drinks still 250, no sex show mentioned by mamasan I talked to.
