Exclamation Heads-up: Bush River Books & Movies

From WUSA TV Channel 9:

Quote:
TOWSON, Md. (AP) - A priest has been removed from duty at a Baltimore County church after being arrested on indecent exposure charges at an adult book store.

The Baltimore Sun reports that Harford County sheriff's deputies investigating complaints of indecent exposure at Bush River Books & Movies in Abingdon on Jan. 16, found 47-year-old Mark Stewart Bullock nude from the waist down in a shop movie theater where customers could see him.

Bullock was charged with indecent exposure, a misdemeanor that carries a maximum fine of $1,000 and three years in prison.

In a letter to parishioners at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Towson, Rev. Joseph Barr wrote that the Baltimore Archdiocese removed Bullock's "faculties to function as a priest" and is investigating the incident.
Guys, no matter what your feelings about priests may be, this could have been anyone.

Those of you who live in Maryland or anywhere else, stand up and vote-out the people in the county and legislature who keep harassing people for perceived or actual sexual activity that is not harmful to anyone. You don't even have to leave the closet to do so.

Thanks for the reminder and the warning. As you mentioned I would remember those in power who are wasting our police manpower having undercover officers hanging around an adult theater waiting to catch some poor lonely soul with his pants down. It's a freaking adult porno theater for Gods sake! There's people having sex on a 60" screen right in front of your eyes and that's ok.

Why don't places like Bush River Books make a members only theater which turns a public place into a private place and that would stop these fucking cops from being able to enforce these public indecent laws. They can come into book stores because they are considered public. There are loopholes in all laws and going to a members only theater would use a loophole. Beat them at their own game.

Man this is a shame and abit fearful.

I know I had been going pretty steady for a good clip and never saw any problems what so ever. But I have'nt been there in about a year, so now I am worried for when I come back hopefully soon. I am afraid to say I one of those who have been nude in the theater and the private rooms. Makes me worry. But by god I do miss Bush River. I am jonesin' for the excitement and fun I have every time I got there.

The conservative (anit-sex) wave continues to roll on. However, I do have to point out that just because it is an adult business, laws do not change when you enter the door. A members only place is fine, but not liable to survive as a profitable business model unless the membership requirements are very flexible; i.e. $5 entry fee makes you a member. However, the cops will waste the $5 to join to bust you as decency laws still apply in private clubs. If they want to bust you, they will. My advice is keep the action outside the store to a minimum not to piss off the neighbors. That is what draws the police attention, and subsequent problems.
