sunbathe nude oceanside/torrey pines

a buddy of mine and i are heading to san diego early to mid september. we enjoy sunbathing nude with others and will either be at blacks beach or san onofre. last few trips, we've gone to san onofre. which do you think is better? is there an easier way to get down to blacks beach other than the cliff trails and other than having to climb over a rock formation (if you park in the parking lot (lot that is nearly at sea level--not on top of the cliff). hoping for sunny warm weather. oh--how's the downtown Y? safe?
