Fountain Adult Theater safe now
 

I've been to the I-25 TruckStop Adult Theater in Fountain for several weeks now every day and there have been no police whatsoever. Clerks said, and I quote, "We don't care what you do in the theater. Get naked for all we care!" At $6.50 for unlimited movie watching it's a pretty good and private deal. It's a bit empty at times though, we could use more turnout!

I have been there several times and sat for hours with no body coming in at all. When is a good time?

Usually mornings have medium traffic from 8am to 10am, though it's hit or miss. I think it's better than Ambassador (which shows early 90s VHS-quality movies) and Cinema 18 on Tejon. It's a bit quiet inside, but you can easily hear people coming or going with the installed RadioShack digital doorbell at the front door. I'm surprised more people aren't going here as it's cleaner and a lot more liberal.

Actually, it's quite a bargain than the arcade, considering viewing time and "safe haven" of it. You can loiter in the theater until people come into the arcade without having the clerk bug you to put dollars in the machines, and if someone actually goes into the theater, bonus, eh? For $6.50 it ain't bad.

Eons ago when I was at the AF academy, there was a bookstore over by Astro & Powers. We were "warned" about "reports of homosexual activity occuring at that location." This was code for "you will fucking love this place!" Sure enough...I met up with quite a few others from the academy and Peterson. Saturdays when the ANG boys were around were particularly hot. All those "straight" and married guys aching for release...you could smell the semen from outside some nights!

Other than weekends, it was pretty dead. I guess they made enough money those two days of the week to carry them. I think it's a hotel now (haven't been back since the 80s). What a shame. Places today tend to be far more sedate and coy.
