Eagle

I've never been to the Eagle and am looking for information on accessibility. I use a wheelchair due to a neurological problem but walk some too. Anyone willing to share information on accessibility?

It would be pretty difficult to navigate The Eagle in a wheelchair, probably impossible. However, the last few times I've been, it has been near empty so you could move around on crutches. Used to be a lot of fun

more?

but do they have a ramp into the place?
not talking about moving around once inside

The entrance to the Eagle is in the back of the bar. There is a door in the front off the street but I'm not sure if they even use that entrance anymore. And there is a handicap parking spot in the backlot of the Eagle.

But there is not a ramp to get you from there to the inside of the Eagle using the back entrance. Your best bet is probably to give them a call to find out how/if they are able to accomodate wheelchairs.

I wouldn't recommend it

I woulodn't recommend it. A very good friend of mine uses a wheelchair full time and has only very limited use of his legs. He said it was not worth it.

The back entrance does have a handicapped spot, but your faced with one flight of stairs just to get on the back deck, and a couple of single steps before getting to another narrrow flight to get in then steps up and down all over inside.

You could enter the front door, but it's not always open during the week.

The one bathroom that would be even remotely wheelchair accessible is generally being used for something OTHER than it's inteneded purpose and is about as filthy as a Mumbai toilet.

The Eagle is pretty much a nightmare for anybody with a physical disability.

The front entrance is open Friday and Saturday nights and with warning they will open the front door to let you in weeknights.

But once you're in, you'd be unable to go to the rear of the bar, because there's a single, rather high step on one side and a few steps on the other side.
