if you think about it, craigslist is much more real time than this board ever was. Additionally you had some moderators that are/where worse than any flagger on CL.

This board shifted totally to for pay options. Nothing wrong with that, they need to make money too.

The sex listings seem to have dropped off in participation too.

The cops, news media, religious nuts and your grandmother found this board. That is what destroyed it. THE BOARD GOT LAME.

You can always volunteer to be the moderator. I would have no objections. I got the job when I complained to CFS about the manner in which a previous moderator was handling the board.

Na, wasn't criticizing your performance. Craigslist just has a better system.

I'm always up to suggestions guys! We do listen, though it isn't especially helpful to only get criticism. Concrete ideas how to make this a better experience for you, the site visitors, would be great to read and digest for consideration.

Host a CFS Party!
 

Why not host a monthly CFS meet the members party in different areas of the Atlanta area and let members meet and regain this board? Guys could submit areas to be considered for the host party to be held. Maybe even a cookout.

My humble opinion as to why you don't see the numbers on this board as 3 to 5 years ago is simply competition in the area. I can remember when CFS was one of the few boards available to cruise. Today Manhunt, among others is hugely popular in Atlanta and most members there are looking for sex in private homes which keeps cops at bay. Also the fact that CFS is a text message board as opposed to an IM board probably hurts a little bit. By the time a message is answered the mood, time or situation has possibly passed.

On this board many of us like sex in more clandestine places - parks, airports, cars, etc. which draws attention from cops as they can make arrests under those circumstances even with the sex being consenting.

I think it's more the type of people looking for sex on CFS vs Manhunt or other boards.

However, there is nothing stopping CFS members from organizing in home parties to meet other CFS members. Sounds like a good idea to me if someone wants to organize something.

The problem is as much competition and changing time as much as the lack of guys, men, bois to follow through with something, show up and just fucking do it.

I've posted several things on yahoo groups for a jerk off night. not a single guy showed.

If you say you are going to fucking do it, follow through. make it easy on the hosts. now who wants an orgy?

My experience is the same. I've hosted parties and had over a hundred names on the guest list. In truth, less than a dozen show up! We pretty much stopped doing them because they take so much time and the 'no-show' factor is way out of line with what you might expect.

I recall hosting a party once in Columbus, Ohio and I seem to recall out of list of about 30 guys who did RSVP, 5 showed up. When I did follow-up with the no-shows, we had 8 or 9 guys who claimed they had car trouble and several deaths in the family. Yeah, right.

A website I use to frequent had locals organizing socials and there is nothing preventing someone from doing that at CFS. Maybe since I live in Atlanta, this could be a good starting point.

1. Entrap - play safely, play smartly, we all know it's risky even the guys getting caught at the airport.

2. Advertising for free - everyone deserves a profit. There is no more sophistication on craigslist than CFS. It's actually a better setup site. It has more bells and whistles, just needs more activities. Posting those services in the personals outside their respective area can get your post deleted too.

3. Craigslist allows anyone to start booting your ads. Just like a moderator can delete a topic on CFS. Craigslist allows thousands to be a moderator.

4. CFS was the big dog on the porch for quite some time. They've got their work ahead of them to fix this part of the site if that is part of their business plan.


between the doughnut eating pig cops, the news media and the christain wing nuts who monitor this forum all the time to entrap members and some cfs moderators especially that ass hole from texas some time back who thought he was god and this board wanting to drain every penny from you on the other sites they own the cfs message board is null and void....i use craigs list and never have any problem from advertising my massage services free and with great success and its so much more sophiscated and they know how to run the hunt for sex and selling any service u want without being ejected due to some silly rules...cfs is nothing but a footnote now....ive seen it set for a week at a time with no new postings..lol...cfs just thought they were the only forum there was and got to big for their britchs and now they are paying for their stupidity..

Craigs List is amazingly well-done though, for the life of me, I can't figure out how or if they make any money from it. Just a note of caution for 'massage guy plus': there are numerous published articles about how law enforcement is using Craig's List to crack down on sexual activity. I Googled this phrase "craigs list used by cops" and found 362,000 entries. One article I'll site is listed here:

Perhaps you don't offer 'release' as many do when performing massage so you don't need to worry, but it is very naive to believe the cops have only found CFS! They're busy surfing all our public spaces including this one. We've never denied it, but we have strongly encouraged locals to get actively involved in encouraging their local law enforcement to spend your tax dollars going after real crime.

In the meantime, for those who don't believe this website is a "footnote" we'd be happy to host a gathering of Atlanta area users of this message board. The purpose wouldn't be an orgy as some propose, but instead a chance to meet and socialize in the real world. I'm thinking a date in mid-July might work. Any thoughts on this? Location? Activities? One idea could be to find a cop, put him on one of those benches over a tank of water, and throw donuts at him!?!?
