Anyone hear about set-ups/stings?
 

Setting up a hookup, which would happen on state land, and am getting paranoid about how it is progressing. If I ask if he is a cop, does he have to tell me? Thanks.

The idea that an undercover cop has to reveal his identity is stupid urban legend. The courts have determined on numerous cases that he does not have to identify himself until he places you under arrest. Of course, if it is a sting operation, another cop may make the actual arrest. You still think the other guy was just caught up in the sweep and might fall for the same trap twice. I have heard from some who did try to rehook up with the same guy and got busted again. Plus the dangers of meeting a stranger hidding in the bushes should also make you stop and think.

Besides, adopt a smart attitude: whenever your gut feeling tells you that you may be getting yourself into the hot water, chances are... YOU ARE.

When it comes to getting in trouble over someting as trivial as a quick fuck, refuse to take any risk. Get a room and do your stuff there.
