I was thinking about making a trip to KC to go to Erotic City and/or The Strand so I was looking for any news on either of the places, and I came across this very sad news:

Erotic City closes video booths, upstairs bar

JACKSON COUNTY, Mo. – An adult business that has been the site of numerous police calls has partially shut down.

Erotic City in unincorporated Jackson County says it has closed its video booths and upstairs strip bar.

It will continue to sell magazines, videos, and novelties.

This comes after Jackson County passed an ordinance outlawing sex acts at adult businesses.

You know, I never really liked EC and never actually used any of their booths...but it was nice to have a place like that in Kansas City. I went to the upstairs strip club a lot because it was by far the cheapest all-nude strip club in town. I always went with the intention of getting horny upstairs and then getting a blow-job down in the arcade, but for some reason I never went into a booth. To tell the truth, I was always a little bit intimidated by all of the guys just standing around in the hall. It was too well-lit for that and I was always nervous that they were cops. I didn't know which booths had gloryholes and with guys standing around you can't really go down the row peeking in until you find the one that you want.

I guess that leaves us with just The Strand and Bazooka's theaters. I've only been to Bazooka's once (2-3 years ago) and didn't like it all that much, but I've always liked The Strand. I haven't been there for quite a while, but I'm definitely gonna make a trip there soon to help support them.

Jeremy you are so right. I've been to EC many times and I still feel the same way you do. I never liked looking into a booth either, unless everyone else was gone from the hallway. Been to the titty bar once and there was a sweet young girl there, totally naked. Hot!

The Strand has always been scarier for me, though. The parking situation has a reputation and the damn seats in the theatre--which ones work, which will hold you up, and which ones actually have SEATS in them. I did see a nice naked fuck between two guys once, though. I had to jo to that while I watched. They went for about 15 minutes in various positions.
