Sextile, I too was incredulous to read your Australian acquaintance's report. While I wasn't in the bar that particular week, I was there a week before Christmas and was charged 250 baht for a drink....

It is perhaps price resistance more than anything. Jupiter (drinks 270 baht) was full on both occasions that I looked in, possibly on account of its quality of show.

A minor correction: It's Blue Man Bar, not Blue Moon. Presumably they hope punters will come more often than once in a blue moon :D

And it's a sidewalk bar, like Dick's, not a gogo bar.

9:45 pm - Fresh Beach Boys. 2 customers.
10:00 pm - Ocean Boys. 4 customers, increasing to 9 after show (10:15) started.

Please don't believe Mamasans. The going rate is 1,000 baht for short time and perhaps 1500 for overnight.

Mamasans are just trying to jack up rates to make up for the shortage of customers....
