A lesson in douching
 

Who has good advice for when I want to be *spanking* clean? Actually, I'm quite serious. I get into being rimmed, so for me to be anything less than impeccable just seems rude.

I am going to use one of those shower head attachments for the first time at a buddies to douche before getting fucked. I have no idea how to use it and he won't be home. I need some advice. How far do you put the end into your asshole? Do you lubricate the end before inserting? How much water pressure do you use? What temperature should the water be? Once you get an assfull of water, are you supposed to try and keep it in for awhile like an enema our just let it run in and out of your ass? Should the tip be sterilized between uses (especially other peoples) and if so, what do you use to sterilize it to prevent STD's or bacterialogical problems. Can I harm my insides by inserting it too far or using too much water pressure. I would appreciate answers or anything else you think I should know.

I think that if you use common sense you'll be fine ... (common sense sez: nothing that hurts. No HOT water, not too much pressure, etc.) I put it in all the way and I direct the stream at various angles. I expel the water immediately, and do it several times, and then I will fill up and hold it, take my shower while holding it, and expel it. Then I fill/expel a couple of times. Some may consider this to be overkill, but it works for me and has worked for years.

I start the water running before I insert it so that there are no surprises, and also when you do that you don't need lube.

I don't share it, so sanitizing between users isn't an issue. Do what makes you comfortable.

A word to the wise ... although you think that you got all the water out, don't fart for a while. You might have a little surprise that you hadn't planned on. Take that into consideration and leave a little time between cleansing and spreading your legs, too. You'll get to know your body and know just how much, how far, how hot, how often, etc.

P.P.S. WarrorOne, in addition to douching as above, I always keep wet-wipes in the bathroom and in the car. Love 'em! Make sure they're flushable if you're on septic or have an old plumbing system (not you personally, your bathroom). ;)

Not being a bottom and not having had the necessity to douche myself, I tend to stay out of these topics and let those more qualified give the responses.

Bayshore seemed to give all good advice, though he didn't discuss sterilization since he WISELY does not share his equipment.

I'd STRONGLY recommend the same for you. It is best to NOT share sex toys and/or paraphernalia when possible.

That may seem odd, and in a way it is -- after all, we don't go out and buy a new dildo every time we use it on a different partner.

So sterilization is a MUST for sex toys.

Bleach will take care of this for you. Soak your toy or item of interest in bleach for a while. Alternately, or even better, in addition, you can boil items that will not melt. Most sex toys today are made of durable material and won't melt if you boil them.

In the case of a shower attachment -- one per person should be the rule. WHO will you want to share this with, anyway? Certainly you won't offer the use of your personal anal bidet to Auntie Martha when she comes to visit, right?

And even if you are the only one using any one particular sex item -- sterilize it after use just the same. You don't want bacteria and other nasties growing in a richly cultured medium between uses.
