CRUISING for SEX - You can't be too careful about insisting on safe sex

I enjoy receptive anal sex. Sometimes I hook up with guys via online for-men hookup sites. Sometimes, as I did this weekend, I head out to one of the local bathhouses. In any case, when I agree to have sex with another man, I always insist on taking proper precautions, for both my sake and for his (absolutely, always, no-questions asked condom use for anal sex).

Most of the time (fortunately), my partner and I are on the same page and agree on protection. Sometimes my would-be partner doesn't want to or won't use protection, and at that point, "game over". Each of us goes on our way, no further questions or discussion.

Saturday, I went out to a local bathhouse. It was pretty slow going. Eventually one guy climbed into the bed I was in and we made out for a bit. After a while, it became obvious that he was interested in fucking me.YAY!

Before we got started, I asked him if he would use a condom (the bathhouse provides an ample supply throughout the facility; I keep a couple with me while I'm wandering around the bathhouse). He hesitated for a bit, frowned slightly, but eventually took the package, unwrapped it and started putting it on. Having negotiated that bit successfully, I laid back down on the bed face down, eagerly anticipating what was supposed to come next.

After a bit, I reailized it was taking a bit longer than usual for him to get the condom on, so I turned back around and felt his penis. Yep, he had it on. Then I noticed that he was pretty frantically stroking downward. I felt some more. There was an incredible amount of tension on the rubber.

At that point, I realized what he was doing. The audacity. Apparenty, he really didn't want to use a condom from the beginning and it seemed obvious to me that his plan was for the condom to break while he was thrusting into me. I started to leave. He figured out he wasn't going to finish in the originally anticipated way, so he hurriedly beat off and came all over my arm.

I'm not so sure whether I'm more shocked at this guy's audacity (about the condom use ruse, not so much about him ejaculating on me), or more surprised that this hasn't happened before.

When I go out to play, I completely understand the risks involved and take full responsibility for my own safety. I guess you just can't be too careful.
