Adult Theater Info
 

I was wondering if it is bad form to ask for change at the front counter at an adult book store? I have been having fun on a couple of occasions and ran out of smaller bills and didn't want to drop a 20 but never was sure if it is ok to ask for change.

NO problem at all.

That is what they are there for.

Of course the place near me always reminds me I will get more time with a $5 bill than with 5 $1 bills - but I don't want to say "I am so close to cumming I don't need five dollars worth" - LOL

I will say that it SHOULD NOT be a problem. In most cases, I try to support the ABS by buying something. Yes, it is overpriced and selection is meager and I can do much better online. However, they provide a safer cleaner/environment, some entertainment and 99 times out of 100 the staff is cool.

The other benefit of buying local as opposed to online is when you open your browser to Amazon it does not show a bunch of dildos as "suggested for you!"

Thanks for the info guys, I always feel a little strange just asking for change. I suppose that I could buy some lube or something else small so it doesn't seem so weird just asking for change.

They make MUCH more money on the arcades/theater than they do in novelty sales. The adult bookstores in Phx that are cruiser friendly are being out-sold by the Castle Superstores. I try to buy something every other visit or so just to show appreciation.

Support your local ABS!

I was at my local ABS yesterday - and it seems like they have shortened the viewing time again! It is like $1 for 3 minutes now - that makes the real theater showing porn which charges $18 admission seem like a good deal!

The theaters here charge 6-10 dollars and they are FUN... Most of the time. That kind of venue is worth supporting.

Only problem is for about a month after the police show up everyone is very nervous. I dont blame them but it makes for a lot of frustration.

It's their job to give out change, and they will because they know you'll spend it.

I have often thought they need to made adult theaters and ABS under the same rules as sex clubs -

It is so stupid that police bust people for jacking off there when everyone going into the place knows that is what goes on. I think it would be great to sit in a theater and know everyone else is jacking off - but without the worry of getting arrested and your name in the paper.
