I am planning to travel to Saigon in December. Does anyone know of a gay-friendly hotel which is comfortable and reasonably priced? And what are the laws concerning homosexual acts like in Vietnam these days? Thanks for any info.

Was in back packer area tonight drinking Bia Hoi (fresh beer at VND3,000 a litre (US$0.20) There are many small hotels there none of which would be an issue for anything. Also many masseurs around on bicycles (shake a rattle). I am sure if you chat to any of the "bell boys" or guys at the front desk they can arrange what you want. But agree all prices up front - if english is a problem have a pen and paper to hand.
