report on sauna after mid-night
 

Before I started my weekend holiday in BKK, other cruisers have given me valuable advices on sauna after mid-night. I have finished the holiday and I post my own experience in my last 3 nights (Thur ¡V Sat).

After arriving at BKK airport by the mid-night of last Thur, I went to Farose directly. I was there by about 2:00 a.m. and found there were still nearly 60 customers there. The 1/F was bar and dance floor providing free drinks, 2/F was underwear zone while the 3 and 4/F were naked zones. The customers were mainly young Thai in early 20¡¦s (I did not see any farang and only found several mid-aged man). Most of them stayed on the upper floors. The place was really a mess (I was surprised to see the conditions of private cubicles when I switched on the light, cum on the floor, walls un-painted, mirror broken) but people seemed not mind and all of them were prepared for action. When I just stepped in the dark rooms, 2 young guys chased me after and actually I had no time to think and action started. People kept on going in at 3:00 p.m. and started to go away at 5:00 a.m. and only about 10 guys stayed until it closed at 6:00.

On Friday night after the disco closing time, I went to Ban Thai because of it¡¦s naked night and I thought the young thai would also come after the disco. However, my presumption was wrong and it was quiet there (only about 20 guys there). Action there was not hot. However, as the choice is not too much so if you are too unlucky, you can still get some action in return of the 150 baht. I felt asleep in the rest area on the roof top at about 4:00 and when was waken up by the staff at the closing time, there was only 1 other customer left behind.

On Saturday evening, I went to the Door by about 8:00 p.m. The reception said the sauna would close by about 5:00 a.m. so I said then I should go to the disco first and come back later. The staff there told me that I could go in for 1 or 2 hours first and then went to the disco. After the disco, I could come back without paying the admission fee again. I accepted the offer. Except the 1/F where the bar and karaoke situated, the other floors were naked zone). The age of the customer there was a little bit older than the Farose (mostly mid-20 to 30 something) and there was about 40 guys there (but about 15 of them stayed in the karaoke). A cute young thai boy approached me and asked if I wanted group sex so that his boyfriend would do me. I said yes and then his boyfriend (a man of about 40 not my favor walked out from the dark room). I still entered the private room with them but I did not feel to be respected so I decided not to continue.

After the disco, I went back again and wished guys from ICK ¡K.would come too but my dream did not come true. There was less than 20 guys there but I still got 1 fxxk and 1 hand-job with 2 young men. The bar and karaoke can let you have a relax break between the actions.

As a conclusion, if you seek for sex with thai (I did not see any western men in all 3 saunas) in your sleepless mid-night and you do not mind the quality of the place, Farose likely gives you the guarantee. For Ban Thai and the Door, it depends on your luck.

Lastly I have visited the Beach Resort Sauna in the daytime and the staff told me that they opened until 6 in the morning. Would any one go and report later.

A friend of mine goes to The Beach regularly and reports that he's always about the only farang in the place. The customers are mainly university boys. He also reports that, each time he goes there, the boys queue up outside of his room....each waiting for his turn to be serviced.

Your descriptions on the uses of each floors are correct. There is a bath, a stream room, a sauna and a rest area on the rooftop which seems not a cruising area. The staff gave me a small towel before I went up to the roof top.

As a side issue, the pub and disco in that area is good. I firstly went to a pub (Deep Love or See Love) to watch the show. The singer sang in live and made jokes with the customers there. Although I do not know Thai language, I still enjoyed the show.

Then I went to ICK disco. The customers are local Thai, not international, hunk & stylish as those in Silom, but they are sweet. I got 2 candies from 2 young Thai. However, they close early in 1:00 a.m. (discos in Silom closed at 2).

Last Saturday, I was in the Beach Sauna from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. There was only 1 farang there. My own observation was that he was not very popular. Maybe your friend is good looking and has a good body shape.

I disagree, Here in Los Angeles.. Asians seem pretty much in demand and are VERY picky. I totally agree with lvrofasians. I didn't live in LA, but the other side of the US....in Miami. For several years, I attended monthly meetings of Asians and Friends. Since I was over 40, I never once even got a second look from any of the Asians. Among gay Asian academic types in the States, an anti-Caucasian or at least an anti-"rice queen" ideology tends to be particularly well developed, even if not always put into practice in real life--especially if the Asian is young and attractive with experience at being desired by young and attractive Caucasians in whom he's interested (sort of the mirror image of being discriminated against and rejected, but with similar attitudinal results).

Conversely, in Asia, Asians are a majority, have comparatively little consciousness of being discriminated against (though they're aware of colonialist attitudes), and may be interested in Caucasians either because of an exotica factor or because of notions borrowed from Hollywood and magazines about what constitutes attractiveness. In addition, traditionally favorable Asian attitudes toward older persons may outweigh the preferences for beautiful youth that are so common in Western culture. There's a strong anti-rice queen tendency among the better looking Asians in the West. They NEVER go to any clubs known to attract rice queens and they do not patronize Long Yang Club meetings. When travelling to Ozzieland, US or Europe, I never say I live in Hong Kong, or that I speak Chinese, etc. That would turn them off immediately.

I think that anti-rice queeniness among Asians in the West is a sign of internalised racism. It works in a circular way: Asians are discriminated against => to some extent they internalise their inferiority => they reject those who are crazy about them on the basis of race, because these guys cannot be first class since they don't discriminate against them => they seek those who discriminate against them; if they manage to catch them, they feel equal or at least fulfilled. For a brief moment, they joined the majority.

Anti white sentiments among gay Asians in Asia aren't related to the educational level. Sexual racism has nothing to do with education. It never did. No studies have ever been done on the issue, so it's hard to find the reason. It's esp. difficult for us, non Asians, because the 'sticky rice' wouldn't talk to us, so there's no way to find out the reason. But judging from various discussion boards, the 'sticky rice' generalise all gwm as 'old, fat, ugly' (just as many Caucasians think of Asians as effeminate). I suspect there are two sources of such prejudices: 1. no chance of first-hand contact with Caucasians (e.g., no English spoken) 2. predominance of large, aged Caucasians in the white gay communities in Asia.

To those who think that Asians should love them because they are white:
It's EXTREMELY encouraging to read that Asians in the West discriminate against old gwm. If in-shape white guys don't cruise you in the saunas or in the bars, why are you surprised that Asians aren't interested either? Because they're in fact a second (or third) category in the gay community and should accept whatever comes their way? This kind of expectations is a form of racism too.
