It's well-known Thai-farang actor "Oan" Sarawut. He almost lost his life in the tsunami, so he's been on TV a lot this week.

My Thai friends seem to think he may be "one of us". Whatever he is, he's hot.

Thanks! Very hot indeed. My guess, which you've confirmed, was that the grainier pictures had something to do with the tsunami commemoration, but you've explained why he was lying down on the sand in the last pic.
