Hotel Recommendation
I hope to be in Thailand in late June / early July for about 3 weeks. I'd like to find a relatively upscale hotel fairly close to the World Trade Center. I don't plan to be too wild...but I would like a hotel where taking an occaisional guest to my room will not be a problem. Again, relatively upscale. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Now it's called CENTRAL WORLD PLAZA
WTC is now called " CENTRAL WORLD PLAZA " ( for almost one year already ? )
Their own hotel (CENTRAL PLAZA Hotel ? ) is now under construction . I don't know if it will open before next June . |
The Arnoma Hotel is right across the street, but I don't know about their joiners policy.

It's a long while since I stayed at the Arnoma but it was not 'joiner friendly' then. Centre Point Petchburi Soi 15, opposite Pantip, is where I always stay these days (about 60 nights a year). It's a serviced apartment, very comfortable, and joiners are handled with discretion.
Only real problem is that you cannot 'hang a right' off Petchburi into Soi 15! Billy |
Many years for me as well since I was at the Aroma, but was NOT joiners friendly at all. Plus the hotel was not that good.
I remember the Hyatt as being very good and I had no problems with guests (my then bf and I plus a guest in our double room was no pb). But this was a few years back when the joiners fee disease was not as spread out as it is now. |
