400 Bhats entry charge for Farangs @ K PLACE sauna

A post on another gay web board really upsets me .

It says K PLACE sauna charges 400 bahts to foreigners and guys who are over 50 years old from this long weekends .

What for they charge us more ???

Because they think we foreigners are richer than local Thais ?
Because they DON'T WANT OLD GUYS ?

If this is true , I think we should condemn this particular sauna , as I don't want any other local saunas follow this bad example .

All of posters here are foreigners ( and some are also over 50yo :p ) beside THAI GUY and LOST NOOM THAI .

If a Thai guy is 49yo , but if he looks over 50 , DOES HE HAVE TO PROVE he is under 50yo ???

By the way , is this sauna worth paying 400 baths to get in ?

Facts of Life

I've experienced discrimination in LOS, too...and I am a quarter-Thai (look like a southerner) and speak the language.

The funny thing is that I have never experienced it at a bar or in a restaurant or hotel. Only on the bus to Phuket from BKK and while applying for a job in BKK itself. In the last instance, I was passed over for an English teacher's position - in favour of a nice German gentleman who had a very thick accent and constructed his sentences according to his native tongue's grammatical rules. I know because we were chatting while waiting to go in for our respective interviews.

Hot Viking 5th May 2006 08:41 AM

English teacher

Some Asians seem to think that all Caucasians speak fluent English, and they are ignorant about the fact that Europeans speak some fifty over different languages. It wouldnÕt surprise me that some private institution would hire a Moldovian that hardly speak English in favour of a Chinese that is born and brought up in the UK and have PhD in English.

:D :D :D

Confirmed !

This is not a rumor .
I have just checked their website .
It says from this month , they charge 400 Bhats to persons who were born before 2500 ( Thai year ) in Thai .

I couldn't find anything saying they charge 400 Bhats to foreigners though .
Anyway , I presume many of memebers here are over 50yo , right ? ( or approaching )

WHAT JOKE IS THIS ?

I hope this establishment will shut down by the time I reach 50yo .

I don't think it will bother most readers on this board so much, becasue most foreigners don't visit this place anyway.

I don't know whether K-Place have Age Discrimination intentionally or not, but some people may find it offensive becasue their price range is so wide, i.e. 400 baht for customers older than 49 y/o but only 99 baht for 49 y/o and younger.

This different-price-for-differnt-age admission fee is not really uncommon in farangland either. Several saunas in Europe, the US and Canada offer cheaper admission fee if you are younger than 25 for example. Anyone who is 25 yo probably wonders why he has to pay $18 when another person who is 24.5 yo pays only $12 !.

Most saunas in the UK avoid mentioning "age" but offer discount for "students" to attract younger crowds. So when I did a master degree at 30, I was entiled for a discount too. ;)

Several saunas ( especially the smaller ones ) in London offer discount not only for students but also for senior citizens. I haven't heard the senior citizens complain anything then.

Hot Viking 6th May 2006 08:14 AM

Age limit

Well, the age limit at 26 is a bit easier to understand, because most people under 26 in farangland are students, and as such have less money.

Also, senior citizens do benefit from lower prices at many institutions.

But a 50 y o age limit just doesnÕt make sense.

brief encounter 6th May 2006 08:03 PM

The above sauna has penalties in mind not discounts I think.

Ninja 7th May 2006 12:44 AM

Penalties or Discounts ?

For example , 39 UNDERGROUND charges 139 Bhats for entry while they only charge 99 Bhats , if you are under 28yo .
This pricing doesn't upset me really . I DO understand this is a discout for young guys .

Actually , this place is quite popular among Asian tourists now .

Thai Guy 7th May 2006 03:18 AM

Sorry Ninja I did not write it clearly when I said most foreigners I thought and meant "farangs" who are most readers here.

I've been to Chakran, Farose, 39, and Heaven that seem to be popular among Thais and Asians, and I saw just about 3-4 older people and sometimes saw none. I wonder why K-Place has to impose higher fee for older guys? Has it been popular among older guys then?.

Anyway Ninja, is 4-6 pm on Sat/Sun a good time to visit this sauna or is it too early ?. Thanks.

paradise found!

I went to this sauna in patpong area every night ,( I am sure some of you already know which one I am talking about); during my 2 weeks vacation in BKK. I LOVE this place. It's busy every night . 99% of customers 're Thais. The action in the orgy room 's always hot. My first night there I was gangf-cked by about 6 or 7 guys , and while I was being f-cked some of them jerked off and sprayed their lovejuice all over my body and face..... Most of the guys I played with were in their late 20s and 30s. I was surprised on how easy it was to get laid at this place. I swear I played with at least 4 or 5 guys every night..... I even mannaged to get doublef-cked by 2 hung tops. I was alittle disappointed that I didn't get to top anyone while I was there!

Do you mean sauna Mania ?. If so, glad to hear you enjoy it. I didn't. Had fun with a couple guys when I was there on its birthday party last year, but I didn't really like the place.

I wouldn't recommend older farangs to visit this sauna.

By the way, if you are really talking about sauna Mania you better start a new thread; otherwise, Ninja may slam you butt for hijacking his thread. :D :D

Dear Thaiguy,

I didn't mention any name , did I? I know it wont do anybody any good to advertise this fabulous place in here since it is very very STICKY. I ran into a farang in his 30s at that place while I was making out with a hot Japanese looking guy in the orgy room. He was trying to take me away from the japanese guy but I told him in Thai that I wasn't interested but He didn't understand what I was saying. He finally left me alone when I said .....sorry sir, I am not interested ......To my surprise, that japanese asked me if I were THAI and then took off . I was pissed!I knew I had to behave like the locals to get what I wanted including not to open my mouth at all when I am in those places since I was asked by some of the boys I played with if I were THAI. ................glad to see your response saying that you didn't enjoy the place . That just proves to me we all like different things when it comes to hunting for sex. But we do have one thing in common though ...we do enjoy ALBURY.....Thanks to you for introducing this wonderful place to me.

Please let me know what you think about Chakran and Heaven . I will visit those places in November...............

If NINJA wanted to slam my butt for hijacking his thread , go right ahead. I am ready and willing :p

I don't know well , since I have been there only once
( I didn't enjoy the place much )
But some posts on other boards say it's busy with young guys after midnight ( espacially if it's weekend )
They open till 6AM .

If you visit this place , please ask them how much they charge in ENGLISH ?
Today , I saw a fresh report on a Thai-Japanese gay BBS saying they charged only 99 Bhats , even though the guy asked them " HOW MUCH ? " in English .

Anyway , most farang customers we see in BKK local saunas are OVER 50yo . :p
But we don't see many Thai guys over 50yo in local saunas except at GSM and GG sauna . :p

No problem, if I go there I will. However, its website states clearly that the 400 baht charge is for customers older than 49 and has no mention of nationality. I guess that the original poster, who posted about this charge in another message board where you came across originally, is probably older than 49 but he thought he was charged 400 baht becasue he's not Thai. Is that possible ?.
