Cruising in Cambodia - tip for Chiang Mai
 

Hi guys,

Need to depart Thailand for a while to Cambodia. Would appreciate info on any cruising spots in Phnom Penh or Siam Reap.

Hot tip for Chiang Mai is the Jet Petrol Station near Chang Peuk market - this was a new one for me. Hot from mid- afternoon until about 7 pm. Lots of students. Mutual wanking at the urinals and fucking in the cubilces - no security problems.

Would appreciate feedback on Combodia.

don't expect much
 

Cambodia is pretty bleak, based on my experiences. In PP about all I saw were dirty, underage hustlers along the riverfront. Looks like a dangerous situation all around. Siem Reap was dead, and I never saw any cruising scene. But last year I heard about the opening of a Gay place called Linga Bar, located near the "Pub Street" and the old market. Not sure if it just attracts foreigners or what goes on there. From what I have seen, most Cambodians don't seem aware that homosexuality even exists!

Siam Reap
 

The Linga( gather it means phallic) Bar is fun. It is a sophisticated(for Siam Reap) bar, good music, good drinks and gay. Mixture of couples and singles, with a similar mixture of races and nationalities. There are a few freelance guys available, discreetly. Open till midnight and beyond.

There is also, only walking distance away, Figo, which is recently opened. This is a mixture bar/restaurant and internet cafe. Good fun and very friendly staff. In fact when they closed around midnight they took us on to a great club Zone One, which is open to 0400. Music, dancing, bars and packed. Mostly straight but very gay friendly/ gay naive! Buy a bottle and make friends.
