Phuket and Koh Samui
 

Haven't been back to Thailand for some time. I'm wondering if anyone has any tips for decent mid-rangey hotels in Phuket and Koh Samui?

Just looking for something comfortable, not luxurious. Quiet but close enough to the beach and the action. And no problems with joiners should I feel the urge.

Also any recent tips on bars and cruising would be most welcome!

The last time I was in Phuket I stayed at the Rendevous in Paradise Complex. It was great. Any recent reports? I also hooked up with a young guy who monopolized my time--and what a time it was! I'll never forget his 20th birthday celebration and his ability to cum 5 times in a row with little recovery time! But he's since moved to Europe. So I didn't get much time to explore by myself. And in all my visits to Thailand I've never made it to Koh Samui. The advice used to be to bring your own guy to Samui. Is that still the case?

And thanks for all the recent info about Bangkok. I'm really looking forward to return visits to Nature Boys. And Screw Boys which used to be one of my favorite bars. And especially to the cinema at Saphan Kwai. I will miss the New York and the London but am happy this place at least is going strong. I never left there less than completely satisfied!
