Get off the skytrain at Nana, walk into Soi 11 and get a motorcycle taxi from there. Just say "Hero", and off you'll go. Not sure of the exact fare, but it can't be more than 20 baht.

1.- In Nana BTS. look-at the local area's dir'n. sign for best exit for S'vit. soi 11;
2.- Walk NORTH along soi 11. for approx. 600 yds., (pass SWISS PK., AMBASSADOR & GD.PRESIDENT HTLS. on yr RHS. and FEDERAL HTL. on yr. LHS.);
3.- Soon thereafter soi 11 makes a LEFT and then a RIGHT dog-leg for approx. 250yds.;
4.- Continue ahead in same dir'n. as in #1. above, ignore the tee-junc to your LT., for approx. 400yds. and you'll see HERO on your LHS. - an house set-back in a courtyd.; it's just before Khlong San Sabe, (wch. one takes whe going from Pratunam Landing to the Mall - B. Kapi - ha!),.

The walk inside might be a little too long especially if you are going for the first time. Get the motor bike taxi infront of Soi 11. I think all the drivers know where it is. Infact, my first time there, it was the driver who pointed out to me where Hero building was. The ride will cost you just bht20-30.

After lusting for masseur AUM ever since I followed this link to his picture over 2 weeks ago, I’ve at last made my pilgrimage to Bangkapi to meet him. Here's what happened: -

I definitely lost it as I entered WHITE HOUSE SPA. Had I died and gone to Heaven? The evidence, starting with the steep ascent up white steps to the entrance, seemed to be that I had.

From the start, he left me in no doubt about what kind of a massage this would be. First thing I knew, my legs were being gently hauled wide apart. As you can see from the lack of replies :) most farangs aren't into hunks. They know where Hero is, but don't visit often enough to be up to date with rates (which also increase fairly regularly).

From my recollection of my last visit in March this year, the cost was Baht 600. for a 1-hour oil massage. I can't remember how much I tipped the masseur but it would typically be in the 1,200 to 1,500 range.

I also recall, like on previous visits, that Hero was busy, i.e. comparable to a railway station. Difficult to get any service attention from the mamasan who was trying to cope with 8 or 9 customers at the same time.

Do not expect the fawning attention one gets at other massage places. It's a very business-like kind of place, due to the traffic volume they get. I figure there must be quieter moments, though I have yet to discover what time of day that would be.

It's also mainly Asian-oriented (Thais and Asian tourists make up the bulk of their customers). The guy that I had in March, for example, spoke not a word of English, but (unusually) had passable Chinese, which was the language we settled on.

It wasn't just the welcum though, S*xtile, it was the massage. You yourself mentioned a special quality to AUM's massage.

Any massage can make you feel good, but AUM's has something I hadn't experienced before. I actually came to believe that my body being massaged was that of a younger, slimmer guy! How he did it, I have no idea, but it really reinvigorated me. Magic!

I gathered that WHITE HOUSE SPA is popular with Thai customers, but that our recent influx of farang is new to them, and all for AUM! It might be interesting to try another of their staff, such as cute and chirpy BIRD, who speaks good English. He's the top one at

I countered with 1,200.Bh., but after holding-out initially at 2,500.Bh. he lowered his price to 2,000.Bh. and then to 1,500..Bh.. I INCREASED my offer to 1,400.Bh. - but after that neither of us would budge.
- Enough was enough. I terminated matters there and then by standing-up and getting dressed.
- I gave him a small TIPS., enough for the short massage and for taking-off his shirt and trousers, and then went-down and paid the 400Bh. for the massage.
