- I chose a 90mins'. oil-massage; tariff price 900.Bh. but opening-promo. price at 50%. discount; but that the MINIMUM TIPS. of 1,000.oo.Bh. would be welcumed!
- Masseur Khun Seat; 28YO.; speaks ltd. English.
- Massage room approx. 8ft.x8ft.; mattress on the floor; neat and clean.
- I showered in a neat and clean area; but the Qual. Control/O&M. Engr. in me noted that while it looked good to a cursory glance the actual finishing-off was not so carefully completed.
- Khun Seat was awaiting me with just a towel wrapped-around him - hint! While not exactly chubby he was starting to become well-covered as opposed to being thin and with every rib shewing; better for those who like stg. to get hold of!
- After several mins. his technique left me in little doubt as to the eventual outcum. A good and thorough massage - especially for those parts upon wch. the sun doesn't shine usually. We concluded with a mutual Happy Ending.
- A final shower for both of us.

But as you suggest, soi 57 is sign posted then that's good enough. It's just that my damned CD Bangkok map shows Nawamin Road as Sukha Piban 1 Road with no sois with any numbers approaching 57 or with the name Nawamin nor Sukha Piban 1.

What is it about phimosis?

Phimosis - a tight foreskin causing pain during sex - has been raised on this board a number of times over the years, suggesting that it is a rather common affliction in Thailand. What has always struck me as strange is that these reported cases have invariably come to light in sex workers, which seems on the face of it a nearly impossible job for them.

Now I have discovered the condition in a young masseur working at a gay establishment in Bangkok. His strong reactions during sex clearly betray the intense pain that he is enduring, yet he denies it. So, do these people welcome the pain? Are they somehow addicted to it? Do they get an adrenaline rush from it, or what?

This latest case seems particularly inexplicable, because the young man in question - rather well-educated, judging from his correct use of English - claims to have thrown up a reasonable job with prospects in order to become a gay masseur. Obviously, he likes it! There seems to be something very odd going on here, doesn't there?

Sounds to me like your jumping to a whole of assumptions here"

- Many jobs with 'good prospects' pay very small salaries in this country, massage workers who are attractive to customers can make 6 or 7 times the typical small salary. And let's be realistic, many young people in all countries live for today and probably don't think enough about their long-term future.

- Many people in any country say things like "...good prospects...'' as a cover up for something. That's life, it's pretty much normal social interaction.

- "Obviously he likes it". What a statement. Many massage boys are straight and work in gay massage every day for years. For one thing - the money.

Scoops, thanks for responding, but you have missed my main point, which was about phimosis.

Yes, I can just about imagine a young man swapping his steady job with a large company for the variable fortunes of a massage boy. But what is passing strange to me is that he would do it, knowing that he'll suffer agonies from phimosis as part of doing that massage job. ""Obviously he likes it!" (Which is the only explanation that makes any sense to me).

Regardless of the possible financial advantages, it seems odd to me that ANY phimosis sufferers apparently choose to torture themselves by doing sex work. After all, the vast majority of people get by without doing such work.

Yes, that's what it says: 90 minute oil massage for 500 baht, down from regular price of 700 baht.

But then, below that, their second promotion is "two 90-minute massages for 1,200 baht, down from usual price of 1,400".

So something doesn't quite add up.

This may be true, but don't forget when you're early, you get very limited choice. Many of the boys in all establishments arrive only in the evening.
