Hero is closed this weekend as a mark of respect to Royal passing.

Babylon remains open but will have a soft atmosphere according to waiter.No raucous music and limited or perhaps even no liquor.

You are able to tipple at Babylon.

As for no raucous music the orchestral overtures to Oklahaoma and South Pacific have been replaced by Enya at 33rpm.

Walking around Soi 4 etc is dreamlike.Activities as usual with lights dimmed and touts low-key.

Soi Twilight venues only open half-heartedly.

-- Y'day., (15th.), evening I looked-in at Si Lom 4. and noticed that BALCONY, SPHINX REST'T. and TELEPHONE seemed to be the only places OPEN. All were busy but quite subdued.
- Then to Soi Twilight - off Tnn. Suriwong - where I saw only DICK'S. CAFE. and RED MASSAGE OPEN.
-- But quite a few free-lancers and/or unemployed boyz cruising along Tnn. Rama IV. between the former ROBINSON's and CHARN ISSARA TWR..

I, too, was out and about last night. My first free night in over two months happened to fall on this somber occassion.

Had a decent massage (with no happy ending) at Taurus, went to Dick's for dinner. Popped over to one of the sleazy places which never seems to close, then at outside Taurus talking to some of the boys and the manager for a while before heading home at 10:30

The bar streets reminded me of the time that I used to walk around the bar areas after they closed at about 3am.....deserted with a few freelancers hanging about.

In my wanderings, I did hear that a few places my open Sunday night, but most will be closed.
