The US authorities do not trust the security screening process at U-Tapao (for good reason, according to some reports!). So TG's flight from U-Tapao has to stop-over in Osaka where passengers must de-plane for rigorous security screening and the the entire plane is searched. This adds 3 hours to the flight time.

But check in is still at BiTec in the city. More and more flights are being scheduled to/from Suvarnabhumi now, but no-one seems able to say when a full schedule will operate.
