Chinatown Cinema Reports?
 

With the Capital long gone and GSM out of commission, one would think that the remaining cinema on Yaowarat would see some more action. Any recent updates? Best times to go? Experiences?

Not very exciting!
 

I was there last Sat (FYI: it's called the Chinatown Rama according to the receipt from the box office) and I was not overly impressed. There was a larger crowd than my last visit about 6 weeks ago, but no better quality. I have been there on different days, mostly in the afternoon and it's never been anywhere near as crowded as the wonderful old Capitol (sigh).

I hit the Prince on Sun and it was quiet as well. Mon it was the Laemtong (you can skip that too). Tue was the Paholyotin in Saphan Kwai and it was quite crowded as usual with many attractive young things who have no interest whatsoever in a slightly older white guy like me.

Wed it was back to Pattaya, returning to BKK in three weeks for more film follies.
