Classic Boys Bangkok
 

A friend tells me Classic Boys go-go in Bangkok had a fire over the weekend. Does anyone have further information? I've always thought all of those places would be death traps in any fire, and avoid any of them that have fire eating shows. I distrust flames so much I'm even careful about the candle wax shows.

I was passing in a taxi on Rama IV about 6:20 PM and followed the fire trucks from Dusit - a lot of smoke but fire seemed to be contained to the upper floor. Not much gossip on the grapevine so hopefully no one hurt.

I didn't realise Classic Boys had an upper floor. I really do need to have my eyes tested.

-- Today, (11th.), at approx. 13.hrs. I walked-by CLASSIC BOYS - Soi Twilight, off Suriwong rd. - and looked inside.
- Standing in the soi I saw men on the bar's TOP fl. throwing-out debris, wch. looked mostly like charred wood, into a truck; there was a man next door - APPLE MAC. SHOP's TOP fl. - throwing-out debris as well, but that looked to be LESS burnt offerings and more various types of misc. waste: gypsum boarding and suchlike.
- Inside the GF., (street level.), of the a go-go bar appeares to be unaffected: the red & gold draperies above the stage appeared to be unburnt & undamaged and the large water-tk. seemed to be undamaged and still full of water.
- In short - judging from downstairs - the bar could OPEN for business this evening.

Due to some information of a waiter who works in Soi TWL 3 boys died. Poor guys

That really is very sad news. Having been a patron on occasion and got to know some of the boys, I wonder which ones we will no longer see there.

Very sad if true, but has anyone found a mention of it in any news source. I doubt a small fire would be all that noteworthy, but if there were three deaths certainly that ought to be worth some coverage in the media.

Hopefully the "waiter who works in Soi Twilight" is more interested in dramatic effect and less in facts.

-- Today, (12th.), a'noon. I chatted with some YM. outside CLASSIC BOYS.
- He gave me to u'stand. that the fire originated in a TOP fl. room next door - ie.: above the APPLE MAC outlet;
- He suggested that the a go-go bar would RE-OPEN next week;
- As he didn't mention it I thought it better not to enquire about any possible deaths.
