Some nice reports just recently re Power Boys and the hotel it's part of.

Any up to date reports please of other venues, especially Adams Apple.

Was at the new Adam's Apple a couple of weeks ago with a little group including a Thai friend from Chiang Mai. The venue looked OK but the seating in most of the room is just small stools and quite uncomfortable. Also there is poor circulation from the air conditioning, so if you are seated in the more comfortable couches on the far side from the entrance, it felt pretty stuffy. Sadly, the boys and the show are a huge - and I mean "huge" - come-down from the 'good' old days there. We found it boring in the extreme and very depressing. Certainly the show was not a patch on the much more professional and entertaining shows at Circle Pub and Powerboys. Our Chiang Mai friend actually fell asleep during the show! I hope the new owner brings back the old Adam's Apple format and gets rid of the new antiseptic, 'dead' one!
