Short Time In Chiang Mai
Hi all,
Anybody know if there are short time hotels in Chiang Mai? If so where? Thanks, Hailu |
Doesn't seem to be a concept in Chiang Mai. Anyway accomodation is cheap here, unlike in Bangkok.

Once when I was at Adam's Apple, I offed a boy and he took me on the same road as Adam's but going west, away from the main road, for about 1 km and there on the left was a drive-in motel. It had a huge jaccussi and mirrors and cost about Bht200. Not sure how long the Bht200 lasts, but it lasted long enough for sex.

Haikudude,
For sure there are short-time hotels in Chiang Mai. If you've picked up a boy from a bar, he would know where to go, or at least the mamasan would be able to advise. My favourite (I've used it twice, imagine that!) is a kitschy one north of the superhighway. It's called Love Boat, and it's built like a ship stranded in the midst of tropical jungle. The rooms are marine-themed. Love Boat is shown on the map Directions to Adam’s Apple and Lotus Hotel « Shamelessmack in Thailand and around Beware though, it's so far off the road that you'll need a vehicle of your own. Getting a tuktuk from the Love Boat hotel may be impossible especially if late a night. |
Your enjoyment of Chiang Mai, whether sexual or otherwise, will be multiplied 100 times by renting a car. I use Budget as they have the newest cars at good prices .

Most tuk tuk drivers near clubs will know Hotel Latree (maybe Ratree but they'll get the idea-- say "short time") near Chan Puak, which is popular with locals (drive in type). You won't find it by yourself. The International Rooms are 160 baht/hour and are well worth the extra thirty or so baht over standard rooms. Ask your friend to give you a lift back to the main street to get a tuk tuk back. Depending on time of day they'll ask a farang for as much as 100 baht from the Night Bazaar area, and you can probably get 60 baht from the area near adam or New My Way.

Budget and probably others will rent you a car with a US/UK license. Probably others also if in English. I used a UK license for 8 years until I got a Thai license. With a Thai license, they don't even need a passport. The new Thai licenses have Thai and English writing including your passport number.
Although they accept the UK/US license alone, it is likely that their insurance company may not accept not having a Thai/International license in the case of a major claim. Obtaining a Thai license is remarkably easy now. If you have a foreign license..US/UK at least, they do not require an International license for the application. You can process the whole thing in about 90 minutes at Chatuchat and walk out with the license. They will require a medical certificate and an address certificate which is obtainable from Immigration free. With a pickup and CarryBoy cover over the back, you can have all the sex you need in the back and save on the short-time hotel. Do it on the banks of the river along the back roads to the Mesa Elephant camp...so many pleasures open up with a vehicle at around Bht1,000/day. |
so the 2 I remembered are still there-the luxe at SuperHighway-you'll have your ntuktuk to wait-or nthe cheap one in the same soi as the former bars were-which seems to have upgraded since (it sued to be like 50/60 bt/for a stint).

Yeah, I would agree with that Pong. That was my experience also.
