Only one visit to X-Size and you assume that there's a system in place to routinely cheat or short change customers? A lot of places put some 10B coins in the change folder, I like it. I like to pay taxis exact fair, rounded up to 10B, so they come in handy. I've been to X-Size a lot and have never been short changed. This in not to imply that you were not cheated.

Just last week I was in X-Size, there's a new group of perfumers. There were a lot of acts but not sure that was normal. There was one guy, farang in his 50's, sitting opposite me in the bar with 6 Thai ladies in tow. He sat in the middle of his entourage. He started tipping the performers 1000B each after each performance. That's why I think they put on more than usual. He must have spend over 40,000B. If these girls he had were from some bar, and he was paying for them, I can imagine what he ended up spending for the night.

I used to have a regular at the Banana Club but he left and I've not had good luck there since. The Singaporean manager is a very nice guy and tries to be as helpful as he can be he can't work magic. Like everyplace it's hit and miss. As for the comment on filth, I don't see it. It's as clean as the rest. A little worn but clean. Hero is very worn but I would not use the word filth for them either.

I was NOT referring to that club- I meant BC=body club. On my last visit (and i do hope for all that it has since been cleaned up) I found the filth so stark (IN the rooms-the curtains in the shower were thick black dirt-cake from halfway down), the smell in that room and the feel of the sheets/cover on the bed made me decide-even though I had a long-standing regular good guy serving, that this would be the last time for me.
I think I also explained what may have caused this remark-an ad in the BKKPost telling ''for men and women''. is no more.

I've reported before about the notes hidden under the flap at X size.

I also like the coins, and yes they go straight in my pocket, for taxi change, I either leave a 20 Baht tip (note) or no tip at go go venues.

So it does seem that hidding notes under the flap in the bill fold is common practice at X-Size. It may work well for them as many customers don't always count their change. I think it's dishonest.

Does this practice alway take place at other go-go bars?

no. it may even be the parctice of some waiters and not universal.
but wathcing and counting change-if so inclined, is always a prudent thing in those bars-and not always easy either.

Thumbs down Dream Boys not so dreamy

Went to Dream Boys last night and despite the 50 or so gogo boys on display, there were better specimens amongst the audience than on the stage. First drinks at 330 baht and subsequent at 250, prices are now too high given the tired show with similar routines that have been a feature now for over 12 months. Still there was quite a crowd who seemed appreciative - must be newbies. Air conditioning is still too cold.

X-Size and X-Boys

Went to X-Size last night, stayed for a few minutes only despite many boys, but only average looking. Same as Dream Boys, i.e. quantity rather than quality. On the other hand X-Boys had a nice variety of boys and so I stayed for the show which was OK, but again badly needs some new ideas - the "cock hitting golf ball" routine is very stale now. As is the theme music - I wonder if they know it is the overture to "The Ten Commandments". The irony! Anyway, the show featured lots of large cock display and one couple f..king. The place was overcrowded and some people were smoking. Drinks are 250 baht. I offed a boy with a nice smile, who, although not overly handsome made up for it in bed

I must agree with most of what the previous two post-ers wrote. For me, the "shows" have become tedious-to-laughable (the latter unintentionally i assume), and the guys range from somewhat attractive to, at best, "peculiar". I will, however not pay 250+THB for a small bottle of soda water so I just now pass these places by. I know and have heard many times the claim that the price of the drink is justified by the show, but true as that may be it just no longer works for me.

Don't jeer at me, but Nature Boy/Super A have been far far better for me this trip. While the decor may suffer from neglect, some staffpersons may be annoying and the bar etiquette different, I have met really nice guys there, had a good time, and leave without feeling ripped off. Works for me!
