service apartment in silom/sathorn area

I wonder whether any of you guys living in bkk could suggest comfortable service apartment with a reliable fast internet connection that's priced at or below 20,000 baht/month? ideally, not too far from silom.

Impossible.. It will take a lot of looking to find a comfortable regular apartment for such a small amount of money. This is the most expensive area in Bangkok.

Carrying it a bit in the other direction, my Thai friend and I are considering a few months in a decent serviced apartment in silom/sathorn next year when the air turns bad up north. Our budget is flexible. We do want to be able to walk or have a short tuk tuk ride to Silom shopping. Any clear recommendations for location and general expectations for rent? We're evaluating that vs Phuket but are open to other suggestions. Luxury isn't a requirement but comfort and convenience are.

Chin House Luxurioius Residence Bangkok - Thailand

This may be what you guys are looking for???

Scratch that first one i gave you. It has been taken over and is more upscale now.

try ThaiApartment.com, list of Thailand Bangkok Apartment, Serviced Apartment for Rent.

I can tell you a lot of these places look much better on websites then in person. Rent only in person in the price range you are looking for.

I have always been happy at Centre Point properties (Langsuan, Silom, Saladaeng) and also Cape House on Langsuan, though this may be too far from Silom for you. The walk, to Silom, through Lumpini is very pleasant..... Red Shirts permitting!

I agree Centrepoint is great but no chance of anything close to 20,000 baht per month.

-- In today's, (1Oth.], BKK. Post. 'paper. -self-styled: The paper you can trust - there is an article about LUMPINI PARK, all those interviewed seem to have been chosen deliberately for their expressions of NEGATIVE view-points.
-- So how is it that Tee rak & I walk through LP. quite often in the early evenings, usually entering & leaving by MRT. ent'ce./exit #1, and have experienced no hassles, molestations and/or troubles whatsoever from those red shirted individuals in their encampment?

-- Let me state that I'm not unaware of Khun Taksin's alleged disapproval of our life-style and that it was a gp. of red shirts, reportedly associated with Taksin's politics, who disrupted the last gay parade in CHIANG MAI. :(

Many thanks, gentlemen. Great leads. Agreed that there's no substitute for a walkaround. I don't mind the risk of going too HiSo as much as the I do the danger of landing in a sea of straights.

many thanks for your comments, guys!
