I just happened to walk by Nature Boy last night, all dark. Closed down?

Wow, if they've closed for good that would certainly be the end of an era, or at the least of one of Bangkok's smallest, and often wildest, gay go-go bars. Then again, it wouldn't be a shock to see them closed. I've popped by there 3 or 4 times in the past year or so and haven't seen anything on offer that motivated me stay. Slim pickings indeed.

I can definitely confirm (first hand :) ) that rumours of Nature Boy's demise have been greatly exagerated, and the cocks are still out in force, and the beer a reasonable 150 bht.

Tattoo boy now seems to be mamasan, and there are about 6 boys of the usual standard available. I offed one tonight - slim 22 y o (Sam No 18) who has a nice bed-side manner, is nicely hung and happy to ride or be ridden to a mutual happy end :)

I popped my head (and other body parts) in Nature Boy earlier this week, but didn't stay. They had 5 boys there, none of whom looked remotely attractive. Nearby at Super A the situation was the same; 5 more unattractive guys. I ended up at Screw Boy for a drink, running into a manager/doorman that I knew from 15 years ago! At least they had a few good looking guys --- okay, only 2 --- but that was better than some of the bars I looked at on Soi Twilight. I tell you, the pickings are slim to none nowadays in the Bangkok bars. Don't think it's ever been this bleak.

I always wondered how the owners are able to pay the rent. Very rarely do I run into other customers, and the boys sometimes tell me I'm the first customer tonight even if it's past midnight when I turn up.

Rent on that place has got to be crazy-cheap. It's only like 15 sq m, and the space would be useless as almost anything else.

Friday night 5 boys at Nature Boy - all were new (in last 3 months) but as uninhibited as expected there. Two other customers when I arrived. Golden Cock had about 10 boys - some regulars (2 ex Nature Boy) plus a couple of new younger and taller guys. Also 2 other customers there.

I haven’t been to Nature Boy for a while since two of their boys moved to Golden Cock. I just wonder if the tatooed guy (who has been there for at least 12 years) is still around?

He was not there on Friday.

I popped by yesterday night, but since all my favourite boys are long gone or moved to Golden Cock, I just left after a beer.
