Instant Messaging?

Forgive my ignorance but is it possible, other than P/Ms to get instant messaging for us so we can contact guys online r/t? Thanks in advance. PS>> Love this site >

If you look on the tabstrip at the top of every page, under "Connect" there's a Chat option. Granted, the chat isn't integrated directly into CFS, but I don't think the site really needs to clutter people's systems with its own IM/chat program. If you want to chat with someone from the site, it's simple enough to PM or email them and get with them on AOL/AIM, MSN, Yahoo, or whatever.

One of these days we will introduce instant messaging to the site, but for now we're just trying to make sure all the things we added in 2004 work their best and that the overall site improves in speed. Adding IM will come at some point I'm sure. In the meantime, there are other options for contacting someone quickly to arrange a hookup.
