New Message Boards...

Hi -

Just a quick comment on the new boards -

I really miss the way when you opened a group heading you could instantly see which topics had new postings to read and which ones did not.

It would be great to have that back...

At least in my experience, this feature still works. When I open a forum previously visited, the new postings are highlighted in bold, whereas those that haven't changed are in regular font size. John, is that not what you experience?

Hey Keith -

What you describe with the bold / non-bold is what I see inside the topics.

What I was referring to is in the "Special Interest Forums & Discussion Groups" - which does not get much action but can have some interesting posts.

This group has a number of "sub forums" and in the old system when I clicked on the main header subject the sub forums that had new posts since I was last there would indicate that there was something new - now I have to enter each one of the sub forums to see if there are any new posts.

I hope that explanation makes sense - it is not a big deal - but it was a bit easier to scan seldom used forums in the old system.

If you go into the forums you're interested in and then pick "subscribe to this forum" from Forum Tools, your control panel will give a consolidated view of which ones have new messages.

CapitalUncut is right about being able to subscribe to a forum so that new postings are indicated in your personal control panel. You can also subscribe to a thread to get email messages when there is a change made. If you especially like the dirty stories, for example, just add it to your control panel and you'll be able to see what is new as opposed to seeing everything.
