It is time for a change in CFS Forums
 

I think it is time for a small change in the forums in CFS. While I realize and support the fact that the majority of visitors and members are looking for sexual relief through hooking up, viewing the great videos, or reading the dirty stories (of which I have contributed my share); we must realize there is more to being gay than just sucking dick and nailing butt. There are important issues to stay informed on in the ongoing struggle for social recognition and acceptance of the right of gays to maintain their lifestyle.

I propose a new Heading under the Special Interest Forums & Discussion Groups Section entitled the NEWS ON THE GAY BATTLE FRONT. Sure, there are headings for Legal Issues For Cruisers and Sex Advice; but these also tend to concentrate on the best way to get your jollies without getting busted. I'm not suggesting CFS lead a battalion of gays against the Establishment in open social war. Let's just show some social responsibility and awareness for those who face discrimination for their sexual orientation and do fight the battle to make the world, if not gay-friendly, at least unconcerned about an individual's personal sexual choice.

Submissions would include news articles on gains and setbacks in the struggle, and information on trend setters in the gay rights movement. Readers could be encouraged to submit their own horror stories of sexual discrimination (keep names out of it to prevent libel.)

We already have a place where such postings can go. "Cruising for Whatever" is a catch-all forum for topics of interest to any user, but not cruising specific. They need not be about sex or about gay subjects.

Years ago we had a very active political forum here at the Message Board. I killed it after it got unbelievably nasty. Men were leaving just because of this one forum which had become the home to many not entirely developed personalities (I'm being kind!).

I agree that many if not most of us want to read about and discuss things that have little to do with our dicks. And that is why we setup a place for discussing anything not specific to our appendages!

Okay, I checked it out. I was thrown off by the CRUISING FOR WHATEVER title. I thought it was a catch-all. Thanks for moving my posts there, it is the proper place. Still, I might suggest it be amended to CRUISING FOR NEWS or something more descriptive of its contents. Just a suggestion, you are doing a great job, and I am proud to be a member.
