982 Bar scene
 

I read a few months ago of an enticing out of the way bar in the Soi 50 area off Sukumvit that sounding very enticing. Has anyone been there lately and can rate their sexperiences?

982 is located at Thonglor Soi 9, off of Sukhumvit 55. It is about 20 meters in on the left, a red door with lots of potted plants around it.

I was there last weekend, and they had about fifteen good-looking guys on duty. It is a host bar, so the guys are all dressed in street clothes.

My friend offed a boy and raved about his experience the next day (sorry, I do not know what the boy's name was).

Icon 513, can you provide more information regarding 982. I'm unaware of this entertainment spot. Are the guys there comparable to Turning Point in terms of service and offing. What are the attractions there?

Turning Point is great but fairly expensive. Of late, the boys are also not as nice looking as the ones in the old place. ;)

Turning Point is a Pub and Karaoke Gay bar manned by many, many pretty, cute as well as handsome young men. Escorts service are also available and it is located in the exclusive mid town of Bangkok.

It is open everynight from 8 pm to 3 am. The only drawback is that the charges for the drinks and offing of the boys are much higher than the ordinary pubs in Sukumvit as well as Patpong. It is located at Sukhumvit Soi 23.

Well if you've not been there before it is worth the experience. The boys are definitely a few cuts above the normal ones you see at the saunas or go go bars. Of course quality comes with a price.

I agree with Poochai that many of the boys at Turning Point are a cut above others in bars. They are also given quite some training in being attentive to customer satisfaction. Its a shame that some customers do not give the same attention to being courteous to them when they leave the bar, from reports I have had.

I'm not sure that taking them out is necessarily more expensive than in other bars. The take off fee if you go to the bar is 300 baht, and if you don't go to the bar is 500 baht. A whisky and coke is 120 baht and a beer 140 baht, less expensive than Sperm for drinks.

Turning Point is no more expensive than anywhere else in town (with the exception of dives like Super A and their ilk).

Back to 982, I have one advice to anyone who wishes to visit the place: never come in late or else, you will have to make do with leftovers.

In the 2 occasions that I offed hosts from them, I made sure that I arrive between 8-9pm. Had I decided to delay my visit by an hour, I would have been left with a poor selection because all the good ones have already been taken by then.

Recommended boy: Bum, the guy from krabi.

Yes, I can corroborate the above post. This bar sells out fast, so it is not the place for a late-night visit. Best before 9:00 or 10:00 p.m., if possible.
