Two questions-one Ashland/one Harrisonburg
 

1) Recently I found myself stuck in Ashland for a weekend, wondering if there was any action there. It occurred to me (too late of course) that I had once many years ago read about something in Ashland on here. It seems as if it was either a bookstore and maybe just a cruisy spot. It seems to stick in my mind that it was on one of the major roads (either 1 or 301) and that it had something to do with a truck stop. Anyone know what I mean and if so, is it still functioning?

2) I have heard through the grapevine that the ABS in Harrisonburg has had some "redecorating." I didn't really trust the source of my information much, but he made it sound like they had put in some extra lighting or something to discourage cruising in the back. Has anyone been lately who can confirm this and describe what has or hasn't been done? At my last visit, in late February, it was business as usual and quite active.
