I must be about the perfect demographic for enjoying what Tawan has to offer..
I prefer 'chunky' guys with muscle (ie rugby style) rather than bodybuilding phyique. I could be perfectly happy with someone pushing 40. I also sort of like the way they wander around, and wander on stage. I know this is undisiplined compared to other bars, but I think the guys are disiplined in other ways; I have never seen any guy roll his eyes at the sight of a customer. They can be cool and aloof if they want, but never rude, and always professional. I don't like the 'chuck-wow' part of the show. I irritates me they wear masks and I hate the embarassing asking for 100B notes. I don't like the songs or dancing; but I DO like the sucking when it is guy sucking guy, (not lady boy sucking) and I like the big cock show. So what Tawan is doing suits me fine. But having said that, I have been going to bars for over 15 yrs and I really don't(or rarely) get turned on by the shows anywhere anymore. I remember the first time I watched shows at Barbiery Bar and Tawan and I couldn't breath....The things I saw for the first time burnt into my retina and memory for many, many private replays in the privacy of my own bathroom. But now I view the shows with eyes as glazed as a Christmas ham. It is not necessarily the shows, its me. I've seen it all before. A Malasian friend of mine was there at Tawan for the 1st time during Songkran this year and he had the same first reaction I did 15 yrs ago. It blew his mind. Tawan is like most bars; it works on two levels: one is mind-blowing one-off 1st time experience; and the second is a place a customer feels comfortable in and returns as a regular gradually getting to know some of the staff more as friends. Now when I go to Tawan there are about 5 or 6 of the guys I chat and joke with (Including the wait staff) and I regullarly off 2 of the guys. (One I have offed regularly for 2 yrs and the sex gets better and better). I would rather go early on a week night when no one is there, have a drink and a laugh with some of the staff, and then leave with one of my regulars just as the show starts. It suits me fine and seems to suit the guys at Tawan. Each to their own. We are all responsible for our own happiness. And I wish you all... a penis.       |

an update from an acquaintance on the web. he reports that the tawan men seems all on off season. generally on the bulking phase for the major competition at the end of the year.
this raises the question on who would have the physique to compete in sextile's earlier announcement. he also mentioned that the show comprised mostly of the cabaret show after which followed the main event. things are as per usual, the chukwow show that was earlier reported to have been dropped was the usual show finale. what he did confirmned to have been dropped was the removal of briefs on stage. apparently police did not allow it. which begs the question, what about the fucking/big cock/s&m show. well TIT, can't wait for my trip next week to see for myself. |

sydneyboy, were you in bangkok lately? my information was that none of the guys were anything near competition level. this is actually the time they all bulk up and gain mass before they start to diet and prepare for the competition.
tong, definitely has one of the most interesting faces, and very minimal tattoo makes him a great find. past visits shows that he is very in demand with many farang clients wanting to off him every night. i suspect some even call the bar in advance to ensure tong doesn't go with another client. but what i really miss is the other tong. he stopped working in tawan for a couple of years now. bigger and taller, and a very happy disposition. |

No I have not been for a while, back in November. The photos on the Desire site refer to a Tawan competition in 2012 so it cannot be that long ago. Those photographed look all right. I hate tattoos and Tong has none in these photos. I have seen him with some tattoos in photos on other websites but I wonder if they were "temporary" transfer types. On past visits I have noticed some boys who have these "non permanent" tattoos.
