There isn't just one condition that can cause testicular swelling, there are many. It's impossible to say for sure what, exactly, you are encountering.

Some conditions are very painful -- the guy would NOT be interested in sex. Others are not painful at all, but we'd probably like to hope the guy would be aware that something isn't quite right and might consider abstaining from sex until he has it checked out. Can't count on this, though.

At first glance of your question, I'd have thought that maybe you were a younger guy who was inexperienced and had yet to discover the many possible differences and variations of male genitalia -- this would be the most logical explanation. But your profile says you are forty-four, so unless you've only recently begun to explore male to male sex, this doesn't seem quite right.

What, exactly, is "a number of men," as you define it? Two? Seven? Twenty? How long of a period of time has it been since you encountered this testicular anomaly? Three in a week might be considered an awful lot. Ten in ten years wouldn't be much of an issue, most likely. Are you meeting all these guys from a specific place, or are these random encounters which probably have no connection to each other? Rather obviously, if you were meeting men who all enjoyed penis pumping, as GWT mentioned, you'd be highly likely to run into those who enjoy saline injections, too.

If I were you, I'd ask a guy next time around. "Hey, you've got some really big balls. Were they always this way or do you have some techniques for making them bigger?"

Possibly two of the more common and less painful conditions that will result in this testicular enlargement are hydrocele and varicocele. Google those words; it's a better alternative than me typing for another half hour. While these aren't generally painful, they can cause some heaviness or feeling of discomfort. They aren't contagious.

Epididymitis is an infection of the epididymis (more for you to Google) which can have a few different causes. Generally, this tends to cause various levels of pain and discomfort: sex might not be something these guys are looking for at this time. This happens in about 1 in 1,000 men -- so it seems unlikely that you are meeting all kinds of guys with this condition. It seems just as unlikely, and in fact MORE unlikely, that you'd be meeting men just recently with one of these many possible conditions.
