Anallingus and other forms of anal stimulation are certainly not new, but perhaps they are becoming more popular. If so, I'd imagine it's just a matter of porn producers and directors trying to inject a bit more graphically visual stimulation. Also, I'd bet a lot of money that since many films include the use of condoms these days, the porn studios want to be able to show more detailed anal shots with actual flesh to flesh contact.
