Look... my personal opinion on this stuff is that it is dangerous and not worth the purported sexual payoff. But I can't deny that there was a time when ethyl was VERY popular. Lots of people used it -- it didn't kill them. I have NO clue if it ever resulted in any sort of brain damage to anyone, but... when you huff something that comes in a spray can... you take your chances.
Interestingly, I did the very same thing: I tried this shit, passed out, hated it... then disposed of it in the trash. This from a man who has poppers in his freezer that are older than his dog!
It's quite possible I used it incorrectly; I am fairly certain the desired result does NOT include fainting. Passing out is generally not something which contributes to hot sex.
Yet I didn't pass out immediately. I was trying to jerk off while watching a porn film and using this stuff, but I felt nothing. My dick sure wasn't responding to the ethyl. If I remember correctly, however, it took less than twenty minutes of trying before I tipped over backward and passed out, which isn't really very long at all. I was sitting down on the floor, so I didn't get hurt when this happened.
So I've never experienced whatever the sexual stimulation from ethyl is supposed to be. I THINK the desired result is for a bottom guy to be able to get fucked for a LONG time. Maybe. I don't know.
I'll have to disagree just a little, though: it's OK in my book to ask a question even if you are fishing for a specific answer you may hope to hear. Especially if you can accept the truth of the response and take it for what it is worth. Those who ignore any replies with which they disagree... they need not bother to pose a question. But folks with an open mind should go ahead and ask.
And sometimes, we find that our fantasies will plague us until we actually act on them. Sometimes, what seems erotic in our minds turns out to be less than what we had hoped for in reality. At which point we can dispose of the fantasy and move along.
