Hi MidwestBoy,
In in opinion, breakfast at Sofitel is 5* for selections of foods, cutleries, furniture & services. Staff are very efficient, professional and friendly. The Sofitel serve breakfast at 2 restaurants - - one on the roof top with view of Bangkok and another on the Mezzanine floor with view of Silom Road. I have never used the one on the roof top.
The Sofitel's breakfast is so much better than that at the Pinnacle where I notice you are also a regular guest. But you may be disappointed by Sofitel, if you like Asian/Thai food for breakfast.
In the evening, the one on Mezzanine serves Moroccan dinner and the one on the roof top serves Chinese dinner.
Sofitel Silom is just a few minutes walk to a BTS station (Chong-Non-Si). 15 minutes walk to Soi 4. Or you can take a bus at a bus stop outside the hotel - a ride takes a minute or 2 from the hotel to Soi 4. There are plenty of buses and all buses will pass Soi 4.
