I have been told that the British were advised to "Lie back and think of England" during the war.
But I think what the straight gogoboys do (when they really are straight) is to think of their favourite pin-up ladies...at least that's what some of them told me.
As to their being able to sustain their excitement long enough to achieve some sort of release, you'd be surprised what the human body can do when provided with sufficient incentive, especially of the financial variety.
