Bottoms often out number tops at Steamworks, something that frustrates many of the bottoms who frequent the place. You'll see row upon row of guy on his stomach waiting for a stallion to climb aboard. Most lie there all night, alone . . . for lack of an adequate number of tops. So, your challenge is to be at Steamworks on Saturday night when the percentage of tops is advantageous. Without a crystal ball, nobody can predict when that time is. However . . .
My own experience at Steamworks has been that the peak time for young, in-shape, bottoms to find their tops is between the hours of 11 p.m. Saturday night and 3 a.m. Sunday morning. 4-6 a.m. Sunday morning can also be hot, but there's the greater chance that more guys will have drunk lots of alcohol by then, or have ingested something to elevate their mood. I've had more than one hot guy disappoint me by either not being able to stand straight for long, or not able to get it up because of taking/drinking something in excess.
At the onset, you should decide if you're gong to be a pig for the night, or be more low-keyed. If its an all-night fucking you want then just climb aboard a sling and let the guys line-up to fuck you. At the end of the night, it's dick you want and what it's attached to isn't as important as the inches are.
Of course, you can set some parameters as to the age/shape of the guys . . . but, you can also just close your eyes and let the guys have some fun while you're getting off on the experience. Playing doorman at a disco choosing who comes in and who doesn't really doesn't work effectively when you're on your back with your legs in the air and another person's cock in your mouth.

Most of the rooms won't have gloryholes. There are gloryhole booths on the 3rd floor though, but why hide what you have there? Do you want to pucker your ass up against a hole in the wall and have somebody you haven't seen and may not like fuck you through it? I think not. Lying in a sling would be better if that's what you're into.
There's a 2nd floor open, public sling room and there are private sling rooms to rent. The choice is yours.
The 2nd fl. suck room is a good meeting point, and a great place to get blown - but you want to get fucked. Go into that suck room and grab a guy's dick and bring him back to your room to fuck you. And then go back again after you've finished, to get another. I've fucked guys in the 2nd floor room several times, and the times I suggest are good for some group activity with good looking guys - if doing it with lots of people around turns you on. There are at least private 2 rooms on the 3rd floor that have squares or large gloryholes in the wall. Both may have slings, I don't remember.
