Soho 20/3 Huay Keaw Rd. is a nice and cozy place like Darling at 49/21 Huay Keaw Rd.

The difference between Soho and Darling is that the owner at Soho doesn’t really socialize, whereas Khun Lucas at Darling is the center of the bar, at his table you can get all the updates you need on just about everything.

And of course he has a wineimport and therefore some of the best wines you can imagine, at least in Northern Thailand.

The owner at Soho rent two very nice rooms out on a day to day base. It’s a standard room and a suite and they cost around 600 and 900 baht.

Also at Huay Keaw Rd road you can find the Amari Ringcome hotel, it’s old but very well kept, with tennis court and pool. You can get rates there under 2.000 baht for a superior room.

Chiang Mais fast growing night spot is Nimmanhaemin Road, it is a road crossing Huay Kaew Road just at the Amari Ringcome Hotel. Here you will among many find an excellent new thai restaurant Rooms, always many gays there.

Regarding Montri, it’s a fine basic hotel with an ambiance, it’s an old and friendly familyhotel, and everything is kept in a very good condition. And the rate should be around 700 a night. Very fast laundry service.

Just opposite you have a new coffeeshop Black Canyon and next to it a local Thai-Chinese breakfast and lunch restaurant with very nice food. They have a stand outside with fresh juice and Mango Sticky rice.

Also close by is “The House” at 199 Moonmuang Road, an old colonial house and probably Chiang Mais best restaurant cozy cozy and fantastic fusion food.

If you look at www.chiangdao.com you can find a lot of info about hotels and everything else in Northern Thailand.
